Production

• Troubleshoot and make adjustments to the in-feed mixes and direct the Material Handler according to type of fiber and moistures of the fiber.
• Maintain adequate records of key production variables such as production volume, yield, plant uptime, utility consumption, etc., on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis, as required.
• Constantly reviews the operation of the plant to monitor production and quality, anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Report any abnormal or irregular conditions that develop during the progress of the work and take corrective measures within the scope of operating instructions.
• Review notes with cross shift Operator at beginning and end of each shift communicating fiber mixes, overviews of equipment efficiencies, expected delays or upset conditions.
• Manage and communicate fiber needs, coordinating with the Loader Operator as well as with the Production Team Leads to ensure Pelleters have enough fiber to continue production.
• Conduct testing and complete necessary reports on moisture content.
• Maintain Pinnacle’s high standards of housekeeping within the department and with the participation of all team members.
• Maintain radio communication that is brief, clear, in a natural speaking voice and contains only essential instructions and Information.
• Assist control room operator in start-up, shutdown, and normal operations.
• Review product quality and makes system adjustments as need. Maintain data logs.
• Communicate directly with QA laboratory to ensure highest quality product that meets or exceeds the customer expectations. Understands and interprets QA results and takes appropriate action when required.

Owning Safety

• Actively participates in Pinnacle’s Owning Safety culture, including the use of DATS for recording safety conversations, observations and training. Regularly sets an example and provides leadership for Owning Safety looks to contribute in all areas of the business.
• Support the leadership team when mentoring and training other employees to ensure employees are properly trained and competent complete with the appropriate documentation.
• Maintains Pinnacle’s high standards of housekeeping within the department and with the participation of all team members.
• Utilizes SDS for all chemicals used in the production and ensures all employees are adequately trained on their use.
• Complete all safety related Plant Operator Development Program training requirements as required by each Level.
• Participate and communicate on the company radio’s following Pinnacle’s Radio Usage Procedure
